Graeme Richards

MC - Cape Town
Graeme Richards

From live on television and stage to leading roles in global commercial campaigns and even on film; as a presenter, actor, MC, voiceover artist and model, Graeme has sustained a level of success that few South African artists have been lucky enough to achieve, even narrowly being beaten out of a Strictly Come Dancing title. Currently enjoying a powerful platform on SABC3’s Expresso Morning Show and very successfully diversifying into media and production as an entrepreneur, Graeme is a more current and valuable industry property than ever before.

Graeme is a specialist in live television with an unparalleled list of shows behind his name, some of the highlights include: Expresso Morning show SABC3, Strictly Come Dancing (Celebrity semi-Finalist), Anchor Sunrise, E-tv, SABC3 Continuity, SABC1 Continuity, SABC Sport, Sportsbuzz

Hosting and scripting his first Miss SA pageant in front of 12.5 million viewers at the age 19, Graeme has been lucky enough to work alongside some of the industry's best on some of the biggest and most ground-breaking live television and event productions ever staged in SA, as a presenter, writer and creative consultant, with live performances now extending to several hundred. Some of the events and brands that stand out: 2 x Miss South Africa Pageant Finales, 2 x Miss South Africa Teen Pageant Finales (Incl. first ever, also scripted), First ever Duku Duku Awards, King of the Cage (MMA event – 55 Million Pay per View audience), SABC1 Missing Children Campaign (most successful in SA with 100% recovery rate), Good Food & Wine show, Premiere BBC stage. Corporate clients: Nedbank, First National Bank, Sun International, Liberty Life, Peter Stuyvesant, Samsung

With an extensive background in Martial Arts, on the back of three feature films, a major acting highlight for Graeme was scooping the starring role of Lt Alex Danner in the American Action/ Sci-Fi Starship Troopers: Marauders. While Graeme is the first to laugh at the larger than life sci-fi cult driven style of the film, an estimated budget of nearly R100million is seldom seen locally. Here are some of his stand out acting performances: Starship Troopers Marauders, Grease the Stadium Spectacular, The Raven, Natie’s Garage, Delta Force: Blast Off, Homeland (SA series)

Graeme has attracted lead roles in international advertising campaigns and endorsements from some of the world’s most attractive brands including: Sun International (alongside Charlize Theron), Nokia, VW, Coca-Cola, Police, Jean Paul Gautier, TransAct, Continental Tires, Adidas

Graeme has taken his place within an elite group of Voiceover artists voicing both premiere commercial work and as a regular contributor to some of SA’s biggest shows including: Top Billing, Win a Home, Expresso, SABC3 Channel Brand, People of the South, Felicia

Outside of the public profile, yet still very linked to the growth of his personal brand, Graeme is one of 4 founding members and the Creative Director of one of the new media industry’s online video and media mavericks: Vhp-Productions. Graeme has produced online content for brands like: Candarel, Lavoka, Dial-a-Nerd, MWeb, Cedar Square, Ster Kinekor, MKB
