Echbert Boezak is an experienced broadcast journalist with 19 years experience in the industry. He started his career in 1997 with the Afrikaans Newspaper "Die Burger" in Cape Town before moving to Johannesburg to ply his trade in broadcasting at the SABC.

Since then Echbert has been a TV News Sports Reporter covering major international sports events like the Sydney Olympics, the African Cup of Nations, various Protea Cricket Tours, the Commonwealth Games and two Rugby World Cups. He conducted interviews with various local and international sporting personalities in Afrikaans and English like Martin Johnson, Dan Carter, Pele, Ernie Els, Graeme Smith and various international coaches like Eddie Jones, Clive Woodward, Heyneke Meyer, Stuart Baxter and Russell Domingo to name a few.

He was also a Content Editor for SuperSport's Blitz Channel and was the Producer for one of their flagship shows during the 2010 Football World Cup. Here he interacted with various international football stars and dignitaries from the Netherlands, the USA and England.

Echbert also has a keen understanding of the corporate world having worked in media relations for the Barclays Africa Group Limited in Johannesburg and was part of their communications team that worked on sponsorships of iconic brands like the Springboks, the Absa Cape Epic, the Absa Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees, the Absa Premiership as well as Bafana Bafana. Echbert Is currently the Sports Anchor on the Martin Bester Drive on Jacaranda FM as well as KykNet Verslag on KykNet. He also does writing in Afrikaans for Cricket South Africa.

He is fluent in both English and Afrikaans and his versatility makes him the ideal Master of Ceremonies for any occassion.
